Anyone else willing to buy one of these TNC's so we can give winlink a try for emergency communication? Winding allows us to send Emily in ham radio world wide or as simple as peer to peer. I envision using data phones using Bluetooth to send email through handheld transceivers. Kool

From what I understand yes. But research it on the net.

Can the TNC-X be made to work with Winlink?

It appears there is Droid software that could operate the TNC-X by Bluetooth.  That makes this very useful during a deployment.

The Mercer Island Ham club is getting ready to order some of the TNC-X terminal node controllers.  They can get them in kit form all assembled and tested.  With the large order there will be a 10% savings and a little cheaper shipping.

Take a look at this site for more info  http://tnc-x.com/

If you are interested let me know.

Thank You,
