ddclient is one of the older clients, and it will automatically update a domain name when your IP changes. Google Domains supports dynamic DNS for free, as does namescheap.

A couple weeks ago I added a nifty script with cron on one of the Pi boxes. This could be very helpful for those that remote into things that do not have static IP address.

 

The quick description is cron runs program every 10 minutes to check IP to the internet and if it has changed sends a Gmail to myself with the new IP address. Very helpful for any drops and or power fails if away from home.
