Want to help out for future local disasters involving shelters? Shelter training gives the trainee invaluable skills for helping a community in need during a disaster. The CDCCC is offering a training class on Shelter Operations & Simulation on January 8th. Below are the details:

Description: Shelter Operations & Simulation are basic level courses. Shelter Operations gives participants an overview of American Red Cross policies and procedures for setting up, running and closing a shelter during a disaster. Shelter Simulation builds on the information presented in the Shelter Operations course and provides participants an opportunity to practice working with procedures for setting up, running and closing a shelter.
