Re: Testing

My station is currently configured to do digital modes (psk, ft8 etc.) so if you want to try SSB phone I’ll need to switch some cables around. I can do pretty much any band 80-6m. Pick your poison.

Probably. The windows are for a 5 ft. opening. I will need to get the overall measurements. Thanks!

Hi ken, I have F150 with 5' bed and 'permanent' canopy. Would that work? Carol

If you can’t find a contact to get the windows picked up, you might want to give “second use building supplies in Seattle a call. They may come out and pick it up, might even pay you for them. They sell every aspect of building and have a vast collection of everything. We got some vintage doors from them once for our other property.

I have a couple of fairly large windows, and a few small ones that I've replaced as a part of a remodel. Unfortunately, I need to make the decision on whether to dump them or donate them relatively soon (the next couple of weeks), probably before I can verify that a charity would definitely want them. If they don't, then I may need help transporting them to a dump. If anyone with a relatively large pickup or other truck is feeling charitable then I'd like to tentatively reserve their time. Outside of that, if anybody in the group has a possible personal need for some windows I will give you the dimension and specifics.

I plan to do something similar. I'll probably try running off a deep cycle lead acid battery to see how much I can get out of it since I've never done that before. Sent with ProtonMail Secure Email. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐

As of now, I will be driving my car around the corner to the top of my hill and setting up my portable station under sun cover popup on a flat area with coax running from the Tarheel on my car roof. I may pitch a tent and sleep in my backyard for first time ever, in spite of the bears, coyotes, raccoons, bobcats. Or I may just scare myself enough talking about it to go inside, lol. I do have a fire pit I could use if burning is allowed then. I will shut down my home station, to avoid worrying about both stations being on same band when I transmit. I will hang my banner for neighbors walking by to see. I may send an email to neighbors inviting them into the yard to observe at the safe distance. I enjoyed solo Field Day last year from a cliff over North Beach in Port Townsend during daylight and the downtown water's edge over night in my car with all my equipment spread all over the front seat and dash board. It was a lot of fun. Answering nature's call this year will be a lot more convenient. 73, Robin, WA7CPA

Field Day Is Coming Soon
Irvina Mizell
SnoVARC
You guessed it, SnoVARC’s Field Day is cancelled for 2020.
After much discussion, Tom and I have decided to make this decision. We all know how much you look forward to Field Day. We just can’t guarantee it would be safe to move forward.
ARRL is suggesting the option of a solo style Field Day this year. It’s a great opportunity to work on your personal radio setup and make improvements.
Stay healthy.

Is there any of the DX Engineering RG8X left from that last buy. I could use 75 feet. If not is there enough of us that need coax to make a larger buy to get a discount?
