Following up on Paul’s (W7PEZ) location error, attached is a new map with his correct one. Not hearing any other comments, I believe everyone else is located correctly.
Thanks again to Tom (WA7TBP) and all who participated, Bob, KI7RMO

My mistake, Paul (W7PFB) has the P.O. Box. Paul (W7PEZ) is on the map.

I don’t own a PO Box and have my home address on file with the FCC. My physical QTH is a bit east of Cottage Lake. 22209 NE 156th Place Woodinville, 98077 Thanks, Paul, W7PEZ

Re: Is it me or am I in a Faraday cage?
Thank you to Ralph (KC7QXD) and Dave (KI7VLV) for joining. I was able to receive Ralph without issue. We worked out a fldigi config issue on my end and both Ralph and Dave were able to receive my tx. We introduced Ralph to fldigi which was great to share some knowledge back and forth.
Ok.. that confirms I've got my cables connected in the right order and my new PC works. Now to research / test antenna position so I can hear more. - 73

Re: Is it me or am I in a Faraday cage?
At 5PM we will be playing with PSK31 on 20M. All licensed welcome to participate. To coordinate please join Zoom room
ID: 544 566 7229 Code: psk31 Link: https://zoom.us/j/5445667229 I'm on the "free" Zoom so if we go beyond the short free meeting time and get booted I'll just start another meeting at the same location and code. After some 20m we can move to other bands but that will stop the Tech's from transmitting. I'm up for just identifying what I can receive though. Looking forward to it!

RR. If my wife is home in time, I’ll participate. I usually hang out at or near 1500Hz. Dave KI7VLV Bothell

Re: External Antenna box connection question
Paul Butzi (W7PFB)
I am late to the party but I would go with all the connectors in the box (if there’s room) weathersealed, and grommets in the holes that lead outside the box.

A grommet or silicone caulk.

I think I'll drill a hole in the bottom to run the antenna feed lines into the box and then add the connectors inside the box - similar to what Jackson is suggesting. What do I use to in the whole I drill? A rubber grommet? -- ************************* Howard E. Mahran WA1HEM (425) 864 - 5104 *************************

Re: External Antenna box connection question
Ralph Lease
I would use bulkhead connectors or panel mount connectors. Location should primary be on the bottom due to avoid water ingress. Secondary on the side of the junction box. Leave the j-box cover alone as it's for access only. Gaskets should be used as well.

I have to agree with Jackson here...

PL259, SO259 Connectors are not water proof. Not without sealing them up good. Which would defeat the whole quick-change concept. It if was me, I would run the coax feedlines through the wall to the inside. Then you could install a patch panel inside out of the weather. Jim W7ABD

My connections are inside the box out of the weather. It's not super fast, but they're dry.

External Antenna box connection question
I just had 4 coax lines installed for my external antennas that are now coiled up in a waterproof box outside (see pic). What do folks recommend for making the connections to the antennas, especially if I want to disconnect/connect easily? I was thinking of installing so 239 connectors to the box cover (similar to the second pic) and connecting the antenna lines to those and then weatherproofing the connections. What do others suggest? Is there a best practice?

Re: Is it me or am I in a Faraday cage?
Depending on whether the weather allows me to solder some ends onto my new cables - I should be able to do a 10M PSK31 test with you at 5p

Re: Is it me or am I in a Faraday cage?
OK, I have a window at lunch to tune my ant back to 10m. That means I'll be ready to go for psk31 starting at 5.
Who wants to be part of this? WA1HEM KC7QXD Should we set-up a call or Zoom? Some remote Elmer communication would be very helpful as I work through this. Thanks all!
