Emails
Hello, I just sent out an email to 28 SnoVARC members regarding obtaining a King County Emergency Workers Badge. Of those emails I sent out I got back 7 bounces which tells me they are not functioning emails anymore. These are the ones that bounced. Please review the list and if you no longer use this email then your info needs to be updated in the SnoVARC membership list. If I entered the email name incorrectly please let me know that also. You can send me your updated email information and I will follow up and make sure it gets updated. I will then send you the email about obtaining a
King County Emergency Workers Badge.

Re: tsunami
Robin WA7CPA
Tongan volcano. Santa Cruz CA yacht harbor was flooded, Berkeely Marina evacuated, etc. I went out on the bluff and hung out with a ham on a tsunami advisory net to watch. Nada. But authorities are saying bigger could be coming because Hawaii and Alaska had progressively bigger waves.

Forecast is 1-2 feet at the coast, although there are concerns about associated strong and unusual currents.

W7PFB-10
Paul Butzi (W7PFB)
I’ve just changed the frequency for my VARA-FM and 1200 baud packet RMS station has changed from 144.950 to 144.990.
The Winlink.org directory should update automatically at some point. Based on past experience, it will show both the old and new frequencies until eventually the old frequency entry expires. Again, the new frequency is 144.990. If you have that stashed in a memory channel on your radio you’ll need to update it. If you know of folks who are using W7PFB-10 who aren’t on the SNOVARC mailing list I’d appreciate it if you passed this on to them.

73, Don’t forget to smile and have fun!

COVID alert
See message below. Basically I suggest staying away from the Carnation City building which includes the SnoVARC Shack until they send out a message stating it is safe once again. Thanks, Rowland Hello again, Rowland,
In case you’ve been at city hall recently, I wanted to notify you that one of our employees tested positive for COVID this afternoon and has been inside city hall this week. The building shares HVAC between the two floors, though this employee’s actual office is not in the north side of the building with the ductwork. We have sent all of our employees home and are asking them to be tested. We plan to have the offices cleaned but our cleaning person also has a 2-day old COVID case in her family, so we will need to find a different service provider for that. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Take care,
