Re: Rowlands reflector question
Since everyone is offering antenna advice, I have a perfect condition kenwood hf radio I should use this time to get working.
What's the easiest antenna to get put u pl in short order?

Re: Rowlands reflector question
Paul, This is clearly a newbie question…but I’m curious, what happens if the inverted V is an actual V? Where the ends at 30 Ft and center is at 6ft?

Rowlands reflector question
Rowland asked if adding a reflector below his 80m OCFD would improve NVIS performance on 80m.
A bit more than a 2dBi improvement at 90 degrees. That’s with the reflector length optimized for gain.

Re: 80m OCFD NVIS
Without modeling it it’s hard to know for sure but I’m guessing yes, it will improve NVIS performance on 80m and probably on 40m. But I’ll model it and we’ll see.

Re: 80m OCFD NVIS
Right now my OCFD is about 30-40' (don't know for sure). And the ends are only about 3' off the ground.
Two questions...
1. Will adding a reflector on the ground improve my NVIS?**
2. Will raising

80m OCFD NVIS
Last night Rowland had an excellent question about how a 135’ OCFD antenna would work for NVIS, given that he’s made plenty of DX contacts using his OCFD.
This morning I ran some simulations of a
