Re: VPN
Agree and I too use PIA. If you use an open wifi like at McDonald's or something it is best to always use a VPN.

Re: Battery backup at Costco. Worth it?
Yes, that’s a pretty good price. If you compare it to the Goal Zero devices available on Amazon. The Goal Zero 1500X is a lithium battery (better and lighter than SLA) and their inverter is 2,000

Re: Battery backup at Costco. Worth it?
I'll preface this by saying "I don't know anything, and I can usually prove it"....
I looked at a variety of battery backup options a couple of months back. Looked hard at the APC UPS

Some Pi images from NOAA
Thought I would share some images from this wild weekend. I also added WAV file for those that might want to listen to the down-link or try to decode images also, audio is from my QTH.

Condolences, sounds like a great guy. I can’t say I ever had the pleasure of meeting him.

Lost a Great Ham Radio Person Recently
Not sure if many of you knew Mark but he was amazing. I learnt a lot from him over the years. He was a great leader and a pleasant person to be around. He will be missed!

NOAA images
Hi All,
Did some script changes on the Pi for different filters and thought I would share. The hash lines are due to antenna location with trees and or other views.
