Re: Paint a GP6
I painted mine black to make it more stealth on a black roof. It did not affect the SWR and as far as I could tell it did not affect my receive or transmit signal.

If you do it, please sweep it with an analyzer before and after so we can see if it changed the tuning at all.
I do know that putting a ladder line j-pole into sched 40 pvc will change the tuning

Paint a GP6
Tonight on the Rookie Roundtable Net, Kirt (K7KDW) mentioned that he painted his GP3 to give it a bit more camo. I was wondering, do you think I could plasti-dip my GP6 black to make it more

If memory serves, Carnation repeater was appended with /C and the Duvall repeater gota /D. Allows means to identify source of the signal you're receiving.

Re: Tolt Dam False Alarm
Knowing what the gauges in various locations would generally read is helpful.
The depth listed for “Tolt River Road” is 90 feet. Generally the Tolt River Gauge, which is near the end of Tolt

Years ago I was hearing it’d take like 40 minutes to get into Carnation but then yesterday I heard 18 minutes from a couple of people out and about. Would be good if we get one or the other

We dont need to guess. There's a comprehensive study in the possession of seattle water, and both fire districts.

Man, sorry you had to go through that! That must have been scary!
I understand the dam is about 16 miles from Carnation. Has anyone ever guessed how long the water would take to get there? I suppose
