This weekend in the Everett Holiday Inn the Western Washington DX Club
is hosting the Nothwest DX Convention: "DXing from the Left Coast". There are some excellent speakers. If you are interested, here is the web site http://www.wwdxc.org/convention/ The convention is in Washington once every three years.

Sept. 9, 1100 AM to 200 PM.
McDonald Park in Carnation, a potluck volunteer appreciation day. September 12, 300 PM to 700 PM. Help is really needed to staff the CDARC and CDCC booth at the Farmers Mart in Duvall. Booth is on the street infront of the new addition to the Duvall Church. http://www.carnationduvallcitizencorps.org/ Contact Helen at HLHAGAR@aol.com. Sept. 24 and Sept. 26. At the CDCC meeting it was strongly suggested that members of CDARC who have not taken the CERT training should take the class. New classes start on Sept. 24 in Carnation and on Sept. 26 in Duvall. For information and registration form go to - http://www.carnationduvallcitizencorps.org/ I could also use some input and help on us possibly setting up another tech license class in the area next Jan-Feb. FRS radios

This Friday there will be a total of eleven FRS radios in the Fire
Department EOC, in a box labled CDARC FRS RADIO. This includes chargers, batteries, instructions, ear buds, belt clips, SOP and sign out sheets. It will take a person with the Fire Department ID card to access the EOC where they being kept for the time being. Storage location may change and I am open for discussion as to where better keep them for easier access. For those who have not, I would recommend getting a clearence and ID card from Duvall Fire. Sort of neat. Look on the left verticle bar, where it says N4MC's ham locator, click on it, put in your zip code and it will bring up all the amateurs in the zip code.

Just a reminder the Elmer meeting that took place on the third Saturday of the month has been changed. These meetings will now take place directly after the regular club meeting on the 1st Thursday of the month at the Duvall Fire Station.
