I’d like to see QRZ add this capability to their detail tab.

The tool I like to use is: https://link.ui.com
This is a tool published by Ubiquity (UBNT) and it's target audience is Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs). Because of that, it won't give you any propagation details beyond UBNT's own antennas (and subsequently the frequencies those antennas are tuned at which is 900mhz, 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, etc.). But, what it does excel at is it lets you raise / lower the antenna at each location to determine what you need to do in order to get true LoS. For example, to get true LoS to Cougar I'd need a 300+ foot tower at my house. Until then I am skipping off Tolt Hill. It will also show towers that UBNT has a relationships with and are available to lease to WISPs; which is kind of interesting.

Anywhoo.. thought I'd pass it along if you've not seen it.

I believe I now have everyone.  PaulB, PaulZ and Robin were updated for location and elevation, so it should be OK.  If not, just let me know.

Thank you to Ralph (KC7QXD) and Dave (KI7VLV) for joining. I was able to receive Ralph without issue. We worked out a fldigi config issue on my end and both Ralph and Dave were able to receive my tx. We introduced Ralph to fldigi which was great to share some knowledge back and forth.

Ok.. that confirms I've got my cables connected in the right order and my new PC works. Now to research / test antenna position so I can hear more.

At 5PM we will be playing with PSK31 on 20M. All licensed welcome to participate. To coordinate please join Zoom room
ID: 544 566 7229
Code: psk31
Link: https://zoom.us/j/5445667229
I'm on the "free" Zoom so if we go beyond the short free meeting time and get booted I'll just start another meeting at the same location and code.

After some 20m we can move to other bands but that will stop the Tech's from transmitting. I'm up for just identifying what I can receive though.

Looking forward to it!

RR. If my wife is home in time, I’ll participate. I usually hang out at or near 1500Hz.

Re: External Antenna box connection question

Paul Butzi (W7PFB)

I am late to the party but I would go with all the connectors in the box (if there’s room) weathersealed, and grommets in the holes that lead outside the box.

A grommet or silicone caulk.
