I am in the process of assembling a dedicated APRS transceiver for my off-road vehicle. I have acquired a Kenwood TK-7180H-K from a friend that I plan to use, and while I wait patiently for my TNC to get here I'm building the interface cable.

I'm starting to think about programming the radio too, and I suspect that computer programming may be necessary to get the radio to function properly for my application.  Does anyone have experience configuring a TK-7180? Does anyone have the the programming cable (KPG-46) for the radio that I can borrow?
